New radio station for North Devon

The region's newest radio station went live on FM today more than three years after the last radio broadcast from Barnstaple.

When Heart merged all its Devon stations into one operation based in Exeter, enthusiasts in North Devon vowed to bring back a local FM service.

The region's newest radio station went live at midday. The Voice will broadcast to North Devon on FM. The station has been set up by local people angry when Heart closed down its local service from Barnstaple.

The Voice has and will continue to broadcast on DAB and online where it has been broadcasting for the past couple of years but is now on FM.
