Paraglider crashes in Glos

A paraglider has crashed on Leckhampton Hill in Cheltenham. Firefighters called to the scene on Tuesday afternoon called in rope rescue teams to help save the casualty who was airlifted to hospital.

Paraglider rescued after crashing near Cheltenham

Firefighters were called out this afternoon (Tuesday) to help a paraglider who crashed on Leckhampton Hill near Cheltenham.

Whey they arrived at the scene, they called in rope rescue teams from Coleford to help what was a complex rescue.

The Hazardous Area Response Team and paramedics also attended and the casualty was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
