Pride of Britain: Officer's wife supports those left behind

We've been to Warminster to meet one of the finalists for the regional Pride of Britain local hero award - the wife of the 3rd Yorkshire Regiment's Commanding Officer - Sarah Stenning.

While her husband led the regiment on their tour of Afghanistan, Sarah supported the families left behind. And even co-founded a Military Wives Choir. Laura Makin-Isherwood joined them at a rehearsal.

This year ITV News Westcountry is once again joining forces with the Daily Mirror to find the individual you think deserves to be crowned our Local Hero 2013. We're looking for people who go the extra mile to be a real force for good in their neighbourhood.

They could be volunteers or professionals who go way above and beyond the call of duty - they're the people you just want to say a big 'thank-you' to and to showcase their story on ITV.

If you know someone who deserves that unique recognition, you can nominate them here.

You can also pick up a nomination form at Lidl stores.

Full terms and conditions can be found here.

The closing date for applications is midnight on Friday 16 August 2013.
