Around half a million people turned out for this year's Bristol Balloon Fiesta. Organisers say they are delighted with the success of the event. Despite high winds on Saturday and some damp weather five of the seven mass ascents went ahead.

More than a hundred balloons take to the skies
The first mass ascent of the Bristol Balloon Fiesta took place early this morning in perfect flying conditions. Scores of balloons took off from Ashton Court and headed towards the Severn Estuary.
One of the craft even claimed a world record for the highest hot air balloon tea party, as Tanya Mercer reports.
