Military sweep Weymouth beach ahead of Olympic celebrations
Members of the Royal Navy's Special Boat Service (SBS) check Weymouth beach ahead of Olympic torch celebrations. The torch arrived in the county earlier today. Although a parade to welcome it to the town this afternoon was cancelled, an evening of celebration is still expected to go ahead.
Olympic torch at Stonehenge
The Olympic torch was on view early today, and carried by one of the world's greatest ever athletes.
The American sprinter Michael Johnson - who won four Olympic gold medals - paraded it around Stonehenge as the sun rose.

Olympic legend shows off torch at Stonehenge
The record-holding American sprinter Michael Johnson carried the Olympic torch at a sunrise event at Stonehenge.
The four-time 400-metre gold medallist brought the flame into the world-famous neolithic stone circle before passing it on to Wiltshire teenager Millie Clifford.

One of the world's greatest ever athletes has held the Olympic Torch high at Stonehenge.
Michael Johnson, the 400m world record holder and Olympic gold medallist, is at the World Heritage Site at a special dawn event before he runs the first leg of day 55 of the relay around Britain.

VIDEO: Olympic torch returns to the West
Now we haven't seen it for a few weeks, but prepare to see a lot more of the Olympic Torch over the next few days. The torch was carried through Tidworth in Wiltshire after spending the day in Berkshire and Oxfordshire. The torch is in Wiltshire for longer than any other county.
Olympic Torch returns today
The Olympic Torch returns to the West Country today.
It's due at Ludgershall in Wiltshire just before 5pm.
The flame will pass through Tidworth and Amesbury before reaching Hudson's Field in Salisbury for an evening celebration.
