Max and Mason: Three more people charged for assisting offenders in murder of Bristol teenagers
Three more people have been charged for assisting offenders in the murders of teenagers Max Dixon and Mason Rist in Bristol.
Five people - two adult men and three teenage boys - were found guilty of murdering Mason Rist and Max Dixon following a trial at Bristol Crown Court.
Max Dixon, 16, and Mason Rist, 15, were stabbed to death with "fearsome weapons" just a few metres away from Mason's front door after being chased by a gang of teenagers in Knowle West on January 27 last year.
Their injuries took just 33 seconds to inflict but were unsurvivable. They were both declared dead in hospital within the early hours of January 28.
Now three more individuals are due to appear at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 7 January:
Marcus Williams, 31 of Hartcliffe
Dominic Smith, 25 of Westbury
Ellie Maddocks, 25 of Westbury
Two other men were also jailed in December following guilty pleas to two counts each of assisting an offender after the boys were stabbed.
Jamie Ogbourne, 27, and Bailey Westcott, 23, helped burn clothes and destroy key evidence following the fatal stabbing of teenagers Max Dixon and Mason Wrist in January.
The pair both pleaded guilty to two counts of assisting an offender and were both sentenced at Bristol Crown Court to five years and three months in prison.
A man and a woman, who were also charged with the same offences in the spring, are due to stand trial in April.
