Elderly man dies after car crashes into house in South Gloucestershire

An elderly man has died in hospital after the car he was driving crashed into a house in South Gloucestershire in the middle of the day.

Emergency services were called to Ellacombe Road in Longwell Green just after 1.30pm on Wednesday 18 December.

A grey Honda Civic had left the road and crashed into a house. 

A man, believed to be in his eighties, was the driver and sole occupant of the car. He died in hospital shortly after the incident. 

He is yet to be formally identified, but his immediate next of kin have been informed.
