The family of a man who died in a hit-and-run in Bristol say he will "always be remembered" as they paid tribute to him.

David Watkins, 70 and from Bishopsworth, died in hospital following a crash on King Georges Road at around 7.10pm on Sunday 24 September.

He was a pedestrian at the time of the crash, which involved a white Honda moped.

Avon and Somerset Police say they are trying to track down the rider of another motorcycle who was not involved in the crash but might have seen what happened. It is believed they could have been a delivery driver.

Paying tribute to Mr Watkins, his family said: "We are devastated and still trying to process this tragedy at the loss of Dave.

"He was a loving dad, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. He was full of life and had many years ahead of him. He had holidays planned and family gatherings to attend.

"All this was taken from him, as he was taken from us way too soon, along with the memories yet to be made.

"He will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him."

A 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with the collision. He required hospital treatment and police say he will be interviewed when fit.

The pillion passenger of the motorbike has also been identified by police.
