Horse rescued after becoming stuck in water-filled ditch in Somerset

A horse was rescued by fire crews in Somerset after becoming stuck in a water-filled ditch.

Crews were called to Highbridge, a town on the edge of the Somerset Levels, on 27 September where they found the animal in trouble.

Firefighters from Bedminster Fire Station assisted Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews in carrying out the rescue.

The animal was eventually reunited with its owner.
