A391 closed after serious crash near St Austell

A major road in Cornwall is closed this morning after a serious crash.

Devon and Cornwall police said emergency services were called to the scene of a collision at the A391 junction with Carclaze Road, near St Austell at around 3.30am.

One person has been injured and the incident is ongoing.

Police say that diversions in place. However the force asked drivers to "please avoid the area" - and warned that delays are likely.
