Body found in Buckfastleigh in search for missing man

A body has been found in the search for a missing 65-year-old man.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that officers found the body of a man in Buckfastleigh on Sunday (21 August).

Police were searching for Kenneth Hinkley, who was reported missing from his home in Newton Abbot on Friday (19 August).

His family have been made aware and formal identification is due to take place.

Police said the death is “not being treated as suspicious".
