Police in Gloucestershire are investigating after five burglaries were reported in Stroud in a matter of hours.

Five break-ins were reported in 10 hours between 11.30am and 10pm on Saturday (December 4).

Police said the break-ins in Eastcombe, Bussage, Chalford and Bisley involved someone gaining entry by either smashing a rear patio door or window.

Untidy searches were then carried out before police said the culprits made off with stolen items.

Scenes of crimes officers have attended the properties and enquiries are ongoing.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity prior to the break-ins - including any unfamiliar vehicles or people on foot.

Officers are also asking for anyone who has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.

Anyone with information is asked to submit this to police online by completing the 'Update a crime report' form on Gloucestershire Police's website, referencing incident 376 of 4 December.

Alternatively you can call police on 101 or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through https://crimestoppers-uk.org.
