Police issue update after man's body found on Cheltenham cycle path

Police say the death of a man whose body was found on a cycle path in Cheltenham is not being treated as suspicious.

In an update issued to ITV News, Gloucestershire Police said a body found on the cycle path on Wednesday (December 1) belonged to a man in his 40s.

Police were called shortly after 10.20am on 1 December after the discovery of the body on the Honeybourne Line.

Gloucestershire Police today (December 2) confirmed the death is being treated as "non-suspicious".

They say the man's next of kin are aware and the coroner's office has also been informed.
