Child dies after being hit by car at Cornwall campsite
A child has died at a campsite near Helston in Cornwall after a collision with a car.
Police and paramedics were called to the site on the Lizard Peninsula just before 1pm on May 12.
Cornwall Air Ambulance also attended but the girl, whose age is not known, died at the scene.
Her family have been told and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police and paramedics were called to a campsite in the Helston area following a report of a collision between a vehicle and a child at around 12.50pm on May 12.
"The air ambulance also attended the incident.
"Tragically, the child was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers."
