Firefighters rescue blind horse from weir near Yate

Firefighters in North Bristol had an unusual call out during their shift on Tuesday (23 February).

Crews received an emergency call to rescue a blind horse who had become stranded in a small weir near Yate.

The 28-year-old equine, who they nicknamed Bruno, was safely guided back to dry land and handed over to the care of a specialist vet.
