A grandmother of seven from Ivybridge, Devon, has become an internet sensation after making funny videos of herself and her 16-year-old granddaughter.

Nana Jen; or Jenny, started making the videos during lockdown to send to family. Her granddaughter Emily then uploaded them onto the social media app TikTok and they've been watched by 512,000 people.Jenny's videos have included watching her attempt to use an electric hoverboard and dancing to 'Hot Stuff'.Nana Jen said: "We started making small videos, my granddaughter and me, with the grandchildren, and they took off from there."My granddaughter put them on Tik Tok because I've got a lot of family in Sussex, and obviously I couldn't see them."

Nana Jen has 60,600 likes on her TikTok profile. One of Jenny's most popular videos, which has 512,000 views, shows her trying to reach her cup of tea to the 'Inspector Gadget' theme tune, captioned: "When you forget your cup of tea and can't reach it... I failed it and couldn’t get the hang of it. But I thought you may like it. Enjoy."The fun-loving woman says her videos are to 'make people smile'.

She said "It's just to make people smile, that's all we did it for during lockdown. It really took off! It's just brilliant."It seems many Plymouth people have taken to the app during lockdown. One teen has mastered the video-sharing app and amassed a huge following during the lockdown period.

Gabriela Blukacz, known as GabiFaye on the platform, is currently studying creative media production at City College Plymouth and is working on starting a talent agency with her boyfriend, Kamran Sankey - who films all of her videos. Each day the couple come up with original ideas, including covering Gabi in beans, milk and fizzy drinks, to ease their boredom whilst they are unable to leave the house. She now has more than 21,000 followers and has received almost 200,000 likes on her videos - giving her reason to believe she has one of the most popular accounts in the city.Gabi, who lives in the city centre, said she didn't intend for her TikTok to become so popular, but now has plans to use the platform to start her career.
