Escape to the country: More people in Bristol want to move out to villages

There has been a big increase in the number of people living in Bristol looking to move to rural locations after the coronavirus lockdown.

Property experts say the number of inquiries about relocating out of Bristol has more than doubled in the past few months.

The North Somerset village of Banwell is attracting the biggest interest as a rural location with good links to the city.

The property website Rightmove suggested some city home owners may have benefited from strong house price growth over the years and are now able to trade up and move out to the country.
