Bristol Craft Beer Festival has confirmed with Bristol City Council it can go ahead in September.

It will be the first major event rescheduled for summer in the city.

The festival is now going ahead on the 11th and 13th September at the Lloyd's Amphitheatre on the Harbourside.

Changes have been made to spread out visitors, including adding a new session to create more space.

Festival organisers say if the rules change and they need to cancel the 2020 festival, tickets will be rolled over to the 2021 event.

People may receive a refund if they no longer feel comfortable to attend as long as they apply two weeks before the festival date.

A list of changes includes:

  • A full COVID-19 risk assessment on the event layout, including different queuing systems, more entry and exit points.

  • All staff, exhibitors and volunteers will have specific training in order to keep the environment safe.

  • Staff will wear in PPE in areas such as door, glass handouts, some service areas and cleaning.

  • Increased, rigorous cleaning and sanitizing throughout, as well as more toilets and toilet attendants.

  • More hand washing stations throughout and sanitizer for each service point.

  • The festival will use guests contact details for track and trace.

  • Advance tickets only.

  • No cash accepted.
