Crew lives put at risk in Wiltshire air ambulance laser attack, charity says
The lives of crew members on-board Wiltshire's air ambulance were put at risk when it was targeted in a laser attack, the charity has said.
It happened on Saturday 11 July when the helicopter was flying over Corsham.
A spokesperson from Wiltshire Air Ambulance said: "On the evening of 11 July 2020, when returning from a mission, our Bell 429 helicopter was subjected to a laser attack over Corsham.
"Our aircrew are safe and reported the incident to Wiltshire Police on their return to our airbase in Semington."
It is the second time this year that the helicopter has been targeted by an individual shining a laser.
