Super Saturday: Traffic comes to a standstill on region's roads

This was the scene this morning near Stonehenge/Bulford on the A303.

From today people across the region will be able to visit pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas in the biggest easing of coronavirus restrictions to date.

People are already beginning to take advantage of the easing with thousands taking to the roads across the region.

At Taunton Deane Services on the M5 campervans filled parking spaces.

Jay Leake, who spotted a convoy of caravans on the M5, raised concerns about the fact there were no suitable places for lorry drivers to take breaks due to the influx of traffic.

Delays have been reported around Exeter while accidents have also been reported in both South Devon and North Devon.
