Fish worth £2,500 have been stolen from a garden pond in Gloucestershire.

Police officers from Gloucestershire Police are now appealing for witnesses after the 40 fish were taken from an address in Huntley near Gloucester.

The owner said the fish are Koi Carp and Mirror Carp.

It is thought they were taken from the garden in the Broom Hill area of Huntley between midnight and 6am on Monday 22 June.

Officers investigating the disappearance are asking anyone with information about the whereabouts of the fish to come forward.

They are also appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around that time to call 101.
