Coldplay's Chris Martin to join other famous faces as part of traveling 'cut-out' Exeter fanbase for Wembley date
Cut-outs of Exeter City fans, including some famous Grecians, are making their way to Wembley for the League Two Play-off final.
Coldplay’s Chris Martin, comedian Ade Edmondson, and former players Adam Stansfield and Alan Banks will be among more than 1,700 cut-outs of Grecians supporters on show at Wembley.
The club launched its Grecian in the Ground campaign following coronavirus restrictions, which mean matches have had to be played without fans.
The campaign invited fans to buy cut-outs of themselves for the play-off semi-final with up to 1,200 people taking up the opportunity, and a further 500 have decided to add their faces for the final.
Now the Supporters’ Trust has paid for the cut-outs to be taken to Wembley as fans won't be allowed inside the famous stadium.
The club eventually plans to get the cutouts signed by players, and collected by fans.
