‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ cannons stolen from Devon farm
A pair of cannons which are believed to have been used in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise have been stolen from a farm in Devon.
The one-and-a-half-tonne, cast-iron replicas were taken from a farm in Dalwood, near Axminster, at some point between 28 May and 1 June.
The owner, who bought them for £5,000, said they were used as props in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean films starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
Devon and Cornwall Police is investigating the theft and an appeal for witnesses has been issued.
A CCTV image of the vehicle in question - which can be seen below - has been released by police.
