A pair of cannons which are believed to have been used in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise have been stolen from a farm in Devon.

The one-and-a-half-tonne, cast-iron replicas were taken from a farm in Dalwood, near Axminster, at some point between 28 May and 1 June.

The owner, who bought them for £5,000, said they were used as props in one of the Pirates of the Caribbean films starring Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
