Do you know a charity, role model or community hero who deserves a National Diversity Award?

Charities, role models and community heroes from across the South West have been nominated for the National Diversity Awards which are due to take place at Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral on 25 September 2020.

The nominations and voting are still open.

The event, which is supported by ITV News, celebrates the achievements of communities tackling issues in today's society.

People now have until next Monday, 8 June 2020, to nominate people and organisations and to cast their votes on the nominations.

The judges, who include TV presenter and wheelchair basketball star Ade Adepitan and ITV News' Carol Jordan, are looking for people who inspire others through their work, through their commitment to helping others, through their infectious personalities and through adversity.

Do you know someone, or an organisation that fits that description?

There are six awards up for grabs:

  • Positive Role Model Award

  • Community Organisation Award

  • Lifetime Achiever Award

  • Diverse Company of the Year

  • Entrepreneur of Excellence

  • Celebrity of the Year Award

Each award has five categories - Age, Disability, Gender, LGBT, Race Faith and Religion
