Two-year-old child falls 15ft onto busy beach in Torquay sparking air ambulance call out

A two-year-old child has been taken to hospital after falling 15ft onto a busy beach in Torquay.

A major operation was launched by emergency services and the Torbay Coastguard was deployed to Meadfoot Beach where the child had fallen from a walkway above.

Devon Air Ambulance was also on the scene but the child was transported by land ambulance to hospital.

The condition of the child is unknown.
