Tributes paid to Bristol City club legend 'Buster' Footman
Tributes have been paid to former Bristol City staff member Harold ‘Buster’ Footman.
Buster joined the Robins in 1988 and spent a decade in the club’s medical department.
He later became the first team kit man.
Buster served in the Royal Marines before he became involved with City.
The club says he raised more than £100,000 for charity over the years.
Bristol City President Marina Dolman said “He would get on the coach and play old war songs, this was when we were going through a rough patch. Just to instil a bit of fun in the players when we were in a bad patch of form."
Buster was a familiar sight at Ashton Gate and usually seen wearing a white t-shirt in all weather conditions.
