Gloucestershire murder victim named as suspects charged
A young woman whose body was discovered in Gloucestershire has been named by police as Phoenix Netts.
The 28-year-old was tragically found in a suitcase in Coleford, in the Forest of Dean last Tuesday, May 12.
She was named as detectives from West Midlands Police took lead in the murder investigation after working closely with Gloucestershire Constabulary.
Exactly where Ms Netts was killed is still unknown and officers continue to follow-up a number of enquiries in a bid to establish whathappened.
Specialist family liaison officers from West Midlands Police are working with the 28-year-old's family.
A statement released on behalf of her family reads: “As a family we are devastated with what has happened to Phoenix."
Two people charged in connection with the murder appeared atGloucester Crown Court this morning, May 19.
Gareeca Conita Gordon, aged 27, from Salisbury Road, Birmingham was charged with the murder of a woman on or before May 12.
Mahesh Sorathiya, aged 38, from Denmore Gardens, Wolverhampton wascharged with assisting an offender on or before May 12.
Gordon was remanded into prison, while the court granted Sorathiyaconditional bail, and both are next due to appear at Bristol CrownCourt on August 4.
