South Western Ambulance Service receives more than £66,000 thanks to NHS fundraiser Colonel Tom Moore
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) has been given more than £66,000 from the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 appeal to support the health and wellbeing of its staff.
The news follows the fundraising efforts of 100-year old veteran Colonel Tom Moore who raised millions for the NHS by walking laps around his garden.
NHS Charities Together is the national membership organisation for NHS Charities that represents, champions and supports the work of more than 140 member charities, including South West Ambulance.

The charity say they are delighted by the funds which will be a real boost tostaff at an unusual time for everyone.
Staff have been consulted about what they would like to have in their wellbeing care package.
The charity's head also thanked the public across the South West for their generosity and ongoing support for the NHS.
