Gloucestershire doctor gives advice on coronavirus concerns amid easing of lockdown

ITV News West Country spoke to Dr Dawn Harper, who has a surgery in Gloucestershire, about some of the concerns around coronavirus as Government eases the lockdown.

  • Going to the hospital

Dr Harper says she would really urge people to access the NHS in the same way they would normally.

  • Wearing face masks

The medical professional says up until recently there was very little evidence for using masks, and that’s because the hand-washing and social distancing measures are very much more effective.

But things are changing.

  • Professionals that visit other people's homes

Dr Harper says a cleaner can socially-distance and will be wearing gloves all of the time.

However, there is a need to be mindful that grandparents might well be of an older age group and so therefore more at risk.
