Man arrested on suspicion of murder in Falmouth

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man from Falmouth on suspicion of murdering another man in the Cornish town.

Police were called to a house on Tresawle Road shortly after midnight on Tuesday 5 May.

They found A 25-year-old man with serious injuries and, despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A vigil was held locally on Wednesday evening [6 May] for the victim, who has been named locally.

The suspect is in police custody and officers are now appealing for information to assist the investigation.
