Devon doctor calls for wearing of face masks to be compulsory
A Devon GP is urging the government to make it compulsory for people to wear face masks in public to help minimise the spread of the coronavirus.
Finola ONeill is a GP who has worked in North Devon A&E for 10 years and in then local surgeries.
She says that Blake House Surgery in Torrington has been operating a masks4all policy for patients and staff for the past six weeks.
Dr ONeill says believes that the wearing of face masks in public places and enclosed spaces is central to moving into the second stage of the pandemic.
