Plane flies over Plymouth in funeral tribute to grandmother who died of coronavirus

A family in Plymouth who are mourning the loss of their grandmother arranged a special tribute for those unable to attend her funeral.

Maureen Body, better known as Mo died on April 8, 2020, at the age of 79 after testing positive for Covid-19.

Mo's relatives organised an aeroplane to fly over the Devon city trailing a message of support on the day of her funeral.

The aim was to help lift the spirits of the extended family and friends who couldn't attend Tuesday's service (April 28).

Maureen had 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

In a tribute, one of Maureen's granddaughters, Tamzin Evers said her granny had a 'heart of gold'.
