Driver towing speedboat defies lockdown by travelling on holiday to Gloucestershire
A driver has defied the stay at home message by travelling on holiday to Gloucestershire.
Police officers patrolling the A417 and A419 - a major route linking the M4 and M5 - pulled over the vehicle yesterday (April 28).
Steve Lindsay, the Chief Inspector for the Special Constabulary in Gloucestershire, wrote on his Twitter account: “Op Indemnis team cannot quite work out why someone would travel into county for a holiday at this present time.”
Police in Gloucestershire have urged the public to stay at home and save lives after an increase in incidents over the weekend (April 25/26).
At least 25 fixed penalty notices were issued across the county on Saturday and Sunday.
