The singing Devon cockatoo lifting spirits during lockdown with High School Musical's We're All In This Together

A cockatoo in Devon is helping bring a smile to millions of people in lockdown around the world with his version of High School Musical's We're All In This Together.

The catchy tune from the 2006 film starring Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgenshas become a rallying call to many Disney fans who are in self-quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic.

NHS staff, key workers and the cast of the movie are among those who have shared their renditions of the hit.

And not to be outdone a Ducorps cockatoo called Asher at Devon Cage and Aviary Bird Rescue - in Coffinswell, near Newton Abbot - has got in on the act.

As he sings he even struts his stuff across the top of his cage.

The rescue centre accepts donations, through its Go Fund Me page, tohelp with the cost of feeding the birds.
