'Arsonists' start huge blaze at disused seaside hotel in Weston-super-Mare during coronavirus lockdown
More than 40 firefighters were needed to tackle a suspected arson attackat a disused seaside hotel during the coronavirus lockdown.
Avon Fire and Rescue Service said scene investigators believe theblaze in Weston-super-Mare was started 'deliberately'.
Crews from across Bristol and north Somerset were called to the former hotel on Birnbeck Road at 9:30pm on Easter Sunday.
On arrival officers requested additional resources which arrived from Portishead, Avonmouth, Kingswood, Yatton and Winscombe fire stations.
Luckily, no one was injured during the incident.
