18 year-old man dies in M4 crash in Wiltshire
An 18-year-old man has died in an early morning collision (7 April) on the M4.
The man, from the Cardiff area, was driving westbound in a blue BMW when the car crashed into a barrier on the central reservation between Junction 14, at Membury Services and Junction 15, east of Swindon.
He sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. His family have been informed.
A 19-year-old female passenger was taken to the Great Western Hospital with injuries.
Officers were called to the scene of the crash at approximately 1.30am.
The west and eastbound carriageways were closed for eight hours while officers carried out their investigations.
They are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
