Children send letters, pictures and poems to Plymouth care home residents

Children in Plymouth have become pen pals to the residents of a care home in the city.

With plenty of time to fill while the schools are closed, and with visitors unable to attend care homes, children were asked by staff at Anchor's Selkirk House to send pictures, letters and poems to the elderly residents

The idea came from Anchor carers after they heard of parents’ concerns about keeping the children entertained during their stay at home.

They hope the scheme can keep children busy while providing some entertaining post for the residents.
