People asked to put a candle in their window

Christians across our region are being asked to put a lit candle in their windows tonight at 7pm to show they are praying for their neighbours.

This Mothering Sunday churches are joining together for a National Day of Prayer and Action.

The Bishop of Crediton, Rt Rev Jackie Searle told ITV News she thought now was an important time for people to feel united.

It comes as many churches have held their Sunday services online today. Many recorded "virtual sermons" which were broadcast on social media.
