Surfing England championships in Newquay sees competitors from around the world

This year's MVMT English National Championships saw a celebration of surfing at Tolcarne Beach in Newquay over the weekend.

There were eight hotly competed heats in the Men's open, with races coming right down to the final minutes.

Stanley Norman and Reubyn Ash from Bude in Cornwall impressed those watching. Reubyn managed to get to the semi-final while Stan managed to get to the final, earning a second place finish.

Peony Knight won the Women's Champion title for a second consecutive year and Luke Dillon claimed the Men's Champion title

The English National U18 & Open Shortboard Championships was a new event this year, put in place to select the team who will travel to Scotland to compete at the British Surfing Championships & British Cup.
