UK weather forecast: A few showers around on Saturday, then some early rain for the West Country on Sunday
There will be some dry and bright weather around this weekend. A few showers are likely on Saturday, followed by early rain and wind on Sunday. It'll brighten up in the afternoon though.
An area of low pressure is moving through this weekend, bringing a band of rain on Saturday night that'll linger into the first part of Sunday. High pressure looks like it's building behind though and lasting into next week.
For the rest of today we'll see outbreaks of rain moving in from the west, spreading across most places through the night. By tomorrow morning only Gloucestershire and Wiltshire are likely to stay on the damp side. Temperatures will fall to around 5 degrees here.
The bright start across Devon and Cornwall will soon extend across the rest of the West Country leaving Saturday as a mostly fine day with occasional showers. It'll be breezy but feel mild with temperatures climbing to 13 Celsius.
Rain will arrive overnight along with strong winds, lasting into Sunday morning. It will move through though and by the afternoon we should see drier and brighter skies with lighter winds. Highs of 10 or 11 degrees so feeling a bit cooler.
Into next week high pressure is likely to build across the south of the UK, bringing some settled and hopefully bright skies, with temperatures returning to the low teens.
