Forensic investigation underway after cash machine explodes in Bristol
There's been an overnight explosion at a cash machine in north Bristol.
It happened around 4am on the Gloucester Road.
Police don't believe that residents or passers-by have been hurt.
They have declared a crime scene and are now carrying out forensic investigations to try and establish what happened.
The Gloucester Road has been closed to traffic between its junctions with Church Road and Ashley Down Road, and motorists are urged to avoid the area because of likely congestion.
Anyone with information concerning suspicious behaviour around the ATM in the early hours, or with any other helpful information, should contact the police and quote log number 88 of 30 January.
