Man faces jail for mugging veteran in Plymouth on Remembrance Day
A man has been told he is facing jail after robbing an elderly veteran in Plymouth on Remembrance Day.
Frankie Finn, 22, pleaded guilty to attacking the 81-year-old RAF veteran in broad daylight on November 11 last year.
Finn grabbed the pensioner’s wallet and pulled him to the ground in an alleyway between Colin Campbell Court and Western Approach.
He then made off on foot with the victim’s wallet, which contained £60 in cash, a Lloyds bank card and an Argos gift card.
But investigating officers were able to trace Finn’s movements using CCTV.
The 22-year-old was told he faces jail during a hearing at Plymouth Crown Court.
Barrister Lee Bremridge, for Finn, said he had been using Class A drugs at the time of the offence but was now clean.
He was released on conditional bail until February 28. He must report to Charles Cross police station three times a week and remain at his current address.
