Closed Plymouth GP surgery 'could have put patients at risk' say inspectors in damning report
A Plymouth GP surgery which closed last year could have put patients at risk if it had stayed open, according to inspectors.
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) took 'urgent enforcement action' by temporarily shutting Barton Surgery in Plymstock back in October.
A few weeks later NHS bosses announced it would 'no longer operate with immediate effect'.
Today the CQC published its report, rating the surgery as 'inadequate' in all five categories.
Last year patients received letters telling them about the closure and encouraging them to register at either Wycliffe Surgery in Cattedown Road or Friary House Surgery in St Judes.
