A30 in Honiton blocked during rush hour due to overturned bin lorry

A major road in Devon was left blocked after a bin lorry overturned during the morning rush hour.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police closed the scene on the A30 at Upottery following the crash.

It's thought the lorry overturned between Upottery and Honiton after hitting a tree and a vehicle.

The A30 has now reopened in both directions, but restrictions remain in place due to damage to the road. Temporary lights have also been installed to allow traffic to pass in both directions.
