UK weather forecast: A mostly dry start to the New Year across the West Country but a lot of cloud
It'll be a quiet start to January 2020 with cloudy skies and light winds. There's likely to be some mist and hill fog around too. However, there will be some sunshine across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly with temperatures here reaching 10 Celsius. Further east it'll be a cooler day but it should stay mostly dry.
As we head through Thursday we'll see a band of wet and windy weather working in from the west, but it'll clear in time for the weekend.
