Swindon's Great Western Hospital has announced that it is currently extremely busy.

In a statement they said:

The trust is advising that patients should consider whether it would be better for them to see alternative forms of treatment rather than visiting Great Western Hospital, such as calling NHS 111 to be directed to the most appropriate form of healthcare.

Of course, patients whose condition is very serious or life-threatening should not hesitate to visit the Emergency Department.
