Three schools closed in Cheltenham due to power cut

A power cut in Cheltenham has closed three schools and affected hundreds of people this morning (5th December).

Belmont School, Bettridge School and Cheltenham Bournside School were all shut down for the day.

Bournside originally hoped to open their gates at 11am this morning but later told parents that it would shut for the whole day.

A parents' evening scheduled for tonight has been cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday 9th January.

The power outage affected 203 properties but has since been restored.
