John Barrowman undergoes spinal treatment in Bristol for ‘severe neck injury’

Actor John Barrowman is recovering after undergoing a spinal procedure at a hospital in Bristol.

The 52-year-old was forced to cancel his Fabulous Christmas show at the Bristol Hippodrome at the weekend after suffering a “severe neck injury”.

The actor - who was taken to a hospital in the city for urgent treatment - said the injury had left him unable to move or sing.

He has since posted a message on his Instagram page to update his 1.4million followers, confirming he is now on the mend following a spinal procedure at a city hospital.

Following the procedure, Barrowman shared a picture of his bandaged neck with the message: “Procedure done. It was a bit uncomfortable.”

Anyone who had tickets to his show at the Hippodrome is asked to contact the theatre in order to claim a refund.
