Pink dress worn by Kendall Jenner to go on display at Bath museum
A dress famously worn by Kendall Jenner has been chosen by an editor at British Vogue to go on display at a museum in Bath.
The city's Fashion Museum has revealed that its 2019 Dress of the Year is one previously worn by American model and media star Kendall Jenner.
For fashion experts out there, it's a "pleated pink tulle dress" by designer Giambattista Valli. It was originally designed as part of a limited-edition range in high street store H&M.
Kendall Jenner wowed her 119 million Instagram followers when she modelled the dress during the Cannes Film Festival in May.
More than five million Instagram users liked the post of Kendall modelling the bright pink showstopper on a balcony in Cannes.
You can catch a glimpse of the eye-catching number as it's going on display at The Fashion Museum in Bath.
British Vogue Fashion and Accessories Editor, Donna Wallace, was asked to choose the museum's Dress of the Year.
She said: "Debuted and worn by Kendall Jenner, one of the biggest and most followed models of the moment, it was introduced to the world in the most modern of ways - not on a catwalk show but via our digital feeds."
Giambattista Valli, the Italian designer behind the dress, is a favourite amongst celebrities such as Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amal Clooney and Ariana Grande.
Pink has been a big colour in the fashion world this year.
Rosemary Harden, the Fashion Museum manager, said there's been a "bright colour-big dress" narrative in fashion this year.
Jodie Comer's pink dress, in the BBC series Killing Eve, is another show-stopping example - worn by her character Villanelle.
The Dress of the Year will go on display at the museum from Saturday 30 November 2019.
