Two teenagers arrested after sandbag thrown at lorry on M5 near Tewkesbury

Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with an incident on the M5 in which a sandbag was thrown at a lorry.

The sandbag smashed through the window as the driver was travelling south near Tewkesbury just before 11pm on October 31.

He was not physically injured and managed to stop his vehicle safely.

The two boys, both aged 16 and from the Tewkesbury area, were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to cause criminal damage recklessly to endanger life.

Police said they have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
